THE COURSE IS NOT ACTIVE

Presentation

Held in 2024, the 4th edition of the course «European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO)» has allowed for a practical understanding of the role of the European Prosecutor's Office, an independent EU body engaged in combating crimes such as fraud, corruption, and financial offences that affect the European budget.

The activity, promoted by the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with ADU-Human Rights Association and Sicilian Jurists Association (A.GIU.S.), involved judges, lawyers, and jurists from Italy and Belgium, fostering direct dialogue between experts and participants.

The course took place in Brussels on 29 and 30 April 2024, following a path designed to offer a clear and operational view of the functioning of the EPPO, particularly its area of competence and its impact within the European legal system.

Through a practical and interactive approach, participants were able to deepen their understanding of:
  • The structure and functioning of the European Prosecutor's Office
  • The competencies and limits of its jurisdiction
  • Investigative procedures and jurisdictional guarantees
  • Concrete cases and operational applications

The activities alternated between theoretical moments, guided analyses, and direct discussions with the speakers, providing useful tools to understand the growing role of the EPPO in the European landscape.
