The event

“Indicazione Geografica per i Prodotti Artigianali:  una grande opportunità per gli artigiani italiani e il Made in Italy " is the event promoted by the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Confartigianato and CNA – National Confederation of Artisans and Small and Medium Enterprises, aimed at deepening a significant innovation for the protection and enhancement of Italian artisanal excellence.

The initiative represents an important opportunity for in-depth discussion on Regulation (EU) 2023/2411, effective from 1st December 2025, which introduces a harmonised system for the protection of Geographical Indications for artisanal and industrial products.

Through the dialogue between European institutions and representatives of the production system, the event will allow for:

• analysing the access procedures to the new protection system;
• exploring the concrete advantages for businesses and territories;
• examining the main innovations of the regulation and its practical implications;
• sharing experiences and practical cases from businesses and consortia already involved.

The meeting is part of a strategic dialogue aimed at strengthening the protection of European manufacturing productions and supporting the competitiveness of local supply chains.

The meeting will take place in person at the European Parliament in Brussels and will be held in Italian.
