Hamza Bennis

Officer for Employment, Digitalisation and Public Services at CEMR

Hamza Bennis is Officer for Employment, Digitalisation and Public Services at the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) in Brussels.
He has gained experience in the field of European policies, with a particular focus on employment, the green and digital transitions, social rights and inclusion. He previously worked at Euroheat & Power and at the European Parliament, both in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and in the office of MEP Dragoș Pîslaru.

Throughout his professional career, he has worked on legislative analysis, drafting policy content, preparing briefings, monitoring EU policies and organising meetings with institutional actors and stakeholders. He has also gained experience at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Morocco to the EU and NATO and at the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Morocco.

He holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Université libre de Bruxelles and completed a programme in International Studies at Leiden University.
