What is it about?
The project is an initiative funded by the Creative Europe programme, with the aim of creating the first European Gelato Road crossing 12 partner countries in Europe. The Route will offer an engaging experience for visitors, allowing them to immerse themselves in local gelato traditions, discover the secrets of different regional recipes, and taste authentic frozen delights.
What is the objective?
The main objective is to promote high-quality artisanal gelato, the use of innovative and sustainable production technologies and methods, and cultural tourism. This initiative aims to create an international network of gelato producers and provide them with tangible benefits.
What will happen next?
Artisanal gelato producers who meet specific gelato production criteria will be selected and will receive recognition. Together with them, each project partner is organising events such as cooking shows, temporary museums and training sessions, where citizens can gain a better understanding of the world of artisanal gelato.
